Every guest is screened. We read each application and build the list by hand, which means the person you end up talking to is someone worth the hour. No open door, no plus-ones.

Seattle Space Week Recap

Actuate Ventures was out in full force supporting over two dozen events, and hundreds of attendees. Along with our partners at Space Northwest, Seattle put on the largest Space Week to date.
Brought together the Pacific Northwest’s founders, engineers, investors, manufacturers, researchers, policymakers, and students to examine how Washington can turn its unusually dense aerospace and satellite cluster into a more durable commercial-space engine. The week’s centerpiece, the Space Northwest Symposium in Federal Way, paired technical and business conversations. From launch resilience, orbital infrastructure, manufacturing, and Earth observation to workforce and capital. With networking and international-community events across the region. Its defining outcome was Gov. Bob Ferguson’s launch of the 23-member Washington Space Council, intended to identify barriers and growth opportunities around workforce, infrastructure, and potential Washington-based launch capability.

The mood was optimistic but clear-eyed: Washington’s more than 90 space companies, 13,000-plus workers, and roughly $4 billion in annual economic activity give the state real momentum, yet participants emphasized launch access, talent shortages, supply-chain depth, and competition from other space hubs as constraints the region must solve to scale
Be on the lookout for the Seattle Space Accelerator where Actuate’s Managing Partner, Chris Le, will be an instructor.
